What We Believe

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and infallible Word given as His final revelation to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.  God gave His Word by inspiration and kept His Word by preservation.  We believe that the written Word is God's character in print; whereas the Lord Jesus is God's character in Person.

We believe in the One and only true and living God; eternal, infinite, unchangeable and immutable.  God is the un-created, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We believe that God's nature is such, that His "doing" is based on His "being".  In other words, God will always act in Love, because the Bible says that God is Love.

We believe that God, the Son, Who has always existed, became a man (without diminishing His deity).  We believe that Jesus Christ is God Who was the Word Who became flesh, born of a virgin, dwelt among us, and lives in union in us who are believers and receivers of His Life.  We believe that Jesus is equal with the Father.  We also believe that Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people for all time, by dying on the cross for the total, eternal, final, finished, paid in full forgiveness to whosoever would receive it. We believe that Christ arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death and that He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. We also believe that the Holy Spirits present ministry to believers also includes empowering, teaching, and leading them into all truth.

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin, the human race fell and became alienated from the eternal life of God; and, that man is totally depraved in his Adamic spiritual identity and, of himself, is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition without placing their faith alone, in the finished and final work of Christ alone.

We believe in the complete good news of the Gospel, in that Jesus died, was buried and rose again from the dead on the third day.  We believe that Jesus gave His Life for us, to place His eternal Life within us, to live His Life in union with us.  We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (apart from any works by man) whose precious blood was shed on the Cross for the total forgiveness of sins. Upon receiving salvation, the person receives the free gift of the eternal life of Christ, becomes a partaker of Christ’s life and is eternally and forever saved.  Furthermore, we believe that every new born again believer becomes a new creation and now has a new identity as a child of God.

We believe that as a person recieves the gift of eternal life in Christ by grace, that they continue to walk in Christ by grace.  In other words, the same way we received eternal life initially, is the same way we walk in Christ daily, by grace through faith.  We believe that grace teaches us how to live in this present world by the righteous, holy, godly Life of the Lord Jesus living in and through the life of the believer.

We believe that the New Testament Church was initiated, started and sustained by the Head and Founder, the Lord Jesus Christ.  We believe that it does not matter if we are of different races, ages, young, old, males or females, that all people are one in Christ. We believe that we are all equal at the foot of the cross, and though people may have different gifts, they do not have different worth or value.  We believe that our worth and value comes from our position in Christ, not from our position in the church.  We also believe that God does not dwell in buildings, but that He now dwells in born again believers.   We also believe that before God gave the great commission to the church, He first gave the great commandment, which is to Love one another as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us, by this, people will know that we are indeed authentic New Testament Christians, who make up the body of Christ, His Church.
