What Is ?

Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. Awana is a wonderful tool for the kids in our church. Awana clubs make Scripture memorization fun and are geared to the needs of a range of ages and grades.

Awana Club meets during the school year every Wednesday night from 6:45 to 8:30 PM. Kids play games, learn scripture, and are encouraged to live out their faith.

Our Awana program is for kids from preschool to 6th grade, divided into Cubbies, Sparks, and Truth & Training clubs (more details below). Our youth group also uses the AWANA curriculum for Jr. High (Trek) and High School (Journey 2/47).

Please support your child's interest in the program by helping with his/her memorization and encouraging enthusiasm about Awana. You always have an open invitation to visit any of our clubs.

AWANA has a lot of great resources online for leaders, parents, and kids. Check out their website at www.awana.org

Feel free to call the church office at (714)894-1333 or your child's leader if you have any questions.

is for three and four-year-olds. Cubbies is unique because it supports parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing. By working directly with their child on the weekly handbook lessons, parents become active participants in their child's spiritual development. Your kids will reap immediate benefits from their involvement in this exciting program.

is for kindergarten through second graders. It builds on the material taught in our preschool club. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God's Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.

is for third through sixth graders. The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach these boys and girls the truth of God's Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today's young people will become tomorrow's church leaders.
